No two businesses are the same and therefore, implementing simPRO often doesn’t follow the same process for all of our clients. However, there are stages of the implementation process that are common to the majority of companies using our software:
1. Appointing a Product Champion
The first task of any implementation is to decide which member of your team will lead the project as ‘Product Champion’. Your appointed Product Champion will act as the main point of contact to the simPRO consultant during the implementation process.
2. Preparation
Shortly after your order is processed, you receive a Welcome Pack that includes the documentation required for implementation. We schedule your implementation and assign a qualified simPRO consultant.
A strategy for implementing the software in your company is developed, taking into account factors such as training requirements, impact on your current business operations, and accounting software integration (if required).
3. Implementation & Training
In the scheduled implementation period, your simPRO consultant will visit the office to create and document the basic workflow mapping of your job management processes. Working with your appointed product champion, the initial system workflow is set up and your existing data is imported.
The system is branded with your corporate colours & logos, and simPRO generated forms (i.e Quotes, Purchase Orders, Invoices etc) are customised to your requirements.
Our experienced trainers work on site with your team to conduct the basic training required to use simPRO effectively. Advanced training is then coordinated and managed according to your schedule over the coming weeks.
Prior to going live, all testing and training data is removed from the system and a cut over strategy is developed to ensure a smooth transition from your existing system.
4. Going Live
Once all bases have been covered in implementation, it’s time to launch your simPRO build – schedules can be entered, job sheets raised and away you go! Rest assured that once you go live, you’re not alone – simPRO provides free support to all users as a component of your software maintenance.
