simPRO Gave Me My Weekends Back!
Link Electrical has recently celebrated a successful 21 years in business. Starting off as two electrical contractors who worked well together, they have built a strong industrial and commercial electrical company servicing the Bay of Plenty in New Zealand.
We spoke with Tony Redfern about how simPRO has helped streamline his business and given hours back to him and all of his staff members each week.

The Challenge
Tony needed a new system to manage his business. He had used a variety of systems in the past starting with paperwork, then Excel spreadsheets and other software packages but found they wouldn’t give him all the visibility and control he was after especially in the area of project work. This is a large portion of the business Link Electrical does and being able to correctly track progress claims while keeping a good check of where each portion of the job is up to is vital to company efficiency and business growth.
Tony saw simPRO could give him control over his business. He contacted the simPRO team and went through the options of what simPRO could do, and how it would be the best fit for his business.

“One of the biggest advantages is the fact it is all online” Tony says, “I can work from home, it just frees up the ability to finish things off. I used to have to drive back into work on a weekend just to finish a price, now I can do it from home without having to drive into work and spend all day in the office on a weekend.”
“All the general scheduling of jobs, maintenance jobs and ongoing monthly service checks are already in the system and don’t have to be re-entered all the time, which saves the admin staff time.”
“The overall quoting package is great. We keep adding to it and building up the resources, all the information is easy to get a hold of, with pre-builds we can easily cost a quote without having to re-enter the data every time.”

“Now we are also using the digital pen and implementing more parts of simPRO as we go, making the system work best for us. We definitely are saving a few hours every week and will be saving quite a bit more to come as we use the package to it’s full potential.”

Link Electrical’s plans for the future?
Tony tells us “we want to roll out more of the features and utilise it, with pens, and perhaps with tablets, learning as we go all the tricks and capabilities of the system.”
